Worth it
Spare tire and mount, upgraded jack, LED lighting, D-ring tie-downs, brakes on all axles, and a better coating package. Each solves a problem you will otherwise hit repeatedly.
Situationally worth it
Hydraulic dovetails, side gates, toolboxes, and torsion axles pay off when your workflow uses them daily. If they are occasional conveniences, the money is better spent elsewhere.
Usually skip
Chrome accents, oversized wheels that limit tire availability, and elaborate paint schemes add cost and complicate repairs without improving capability or resale materially.
Order early
Factory-installed options are almost always cheaper and cleaner than retrofits. Decide before the build slot, not after delivery.
